Close to the date of filing the application, and as part of the agreements between the parties, the IEC uploaded an updated privacy protection document to the website, in the form attached as Appendix C to the application.

In addition, close to the date of submission of the application, the IEC posted a "banner informing us about the use of cookies" on the website.

In addition, by the end of 2024, the website will be adapted to include a opt-in mechanism for the use of "cookies", where users will be able to choose to use the IEC website without "cookies" that are not necessary for its operation.

Simultaneously with the implementation of the aforesaid regarding the opt-in mechanism by the end of 2024, clause 11.2 of the Privacy Protection Document will be deleted and replaced, as detailed in clause 5.4 of the Settlement, as follows:

"We make use of the Website both fixed functional "cookies", the use of which is essential for the operation of the Website's basic services, and additional functional "cookies", the use of which is essential for the operation of additional services or the improvement of the user experience through the Website and other digital assets.

The use of permanent functional "cookies" on the Website, as well as the use of similar tools or services as stated above in the Application, are not subject to the user's choice and therefore the mere use of the Website after logging in to it and the very download and use of the Application constitutes prior consent on your part to use the fixed "Cookies" and similar tools and services.

On the other hand, the use made on the Website of additional functional "cookies" as well as additional services that may collect information of the Users, as described above, is subject to your free choice.  However, if you have opted out of the use of these additional cookies and services, some of the Site's services and digital assets may not be available.  When you first log in to the website, the user is given the option to choose whether or not to consent to the use of additional functional "cookies".  Your consent to the use of such additional functional "cookies" and additional services will be retained for as long as you access the Site from that device.  You can change your choice at any time, independently by blocking and/or deleting the Cookies by changing the settings on your device and/or the browsers you use."
