Thus from paragraph 6 of the affidavit (P/119):

"Avraham's involvement in the matter was not business involvement, he did not deal with gas but tried to help me in order to help the State of Israel".

It was also noted that the defendant's assistance to the State of Israel was not limited to the meetings that Ben-Eliezer organized with representatives of Gazprom and Soker, but also through the acquaintances he made between Ben-Eliezer and elements in the Russian economy.

Thus from paragraph 9 of the affidavit (P/119):

"Avraham introduced me to the Russian Minister of Trade and Industry and introduced us and also introduced me to other people in the Russian economy".

The close connection between Ben-Eliezer's official position and his acquaintance with the defendant is also evident in the description given about the cases in which he met people who were close to the defendant and who lived in Russia, since these were described as meetings that took place during his official trips in his capacity as Minister of Infrastructures and as Minister of Detention until the end of the proceedings (Pro. Testimony - P/119, p. 62).

Alongside the trend of strengthening the tripartite relationship – the roles of Ben-Eliezer, the defendant and the assistance he provided to the State of Israel, it is possible to locate from reading the affidavit and the testimony a downward trend in relation to the depth of the friendship (compared to the way it was described by the defendant), since Ben-Eliezer separated the first period of acquaintance, which was against the background described above, and the second period of acquaintance, in which friendship and friendship were forged between them, but emphasized that they had no mutual friends.  He saw the defendant's wife only once or twice, and visited the defendant's home in Ashdod only once (about a year before the date of the testimony).  In this context, it should be noted that in the affidavit, Ben-Eliezer defined the relationship as "friendship" (paragraph 10 of the affidavit – P/119).
