It seems to me that the defense's conclusion is consistent with the content of the conversation, and with the defendant's testimony, which was not contradicted, at p. 1200, para. 3.

  1. Against the background of the existence of evidence that negates the prosecution's claim regarding the defendant's involvement and knowledge of the meeting and the manner in which it was organized, and the absence of evidence supporting that prosecution thesis, it is possible to examine and assess the weight of the testimonies of Ben-Zaken and the defendant in the aforementioned context.

Thus, in his testimony, Ben-Zaken denied the defendant's alleged involvement or knowledge of the circumstances of the meeting (Prov. p. 957, paras. 2-19; paras. 26-31).

No evidence was presented that would have the power to contradict Ben-Zaken's testimony on this point, especially since it is consistent with the defendant's management philosophy as clarified above.

The defendant addressed the allegations regarding his involvement in promoting the meeting as follows:

"...  Noble Energy, Honorable Judge, it's one of the companies, it's not considered the largest oil field in the gas field, really not the largest in the world, if there are rankings at the fourth or fifth level in this world, the Honorable Judge, Noble Energy, the company with which I am a partner, Glencore, I was in this period and today I am in excellent relations with them, they are Noble Energy and they had a partnership with them in Africa,  I remembered it and even looked for it and brought it to Yoav  (Adv. Yoav Snens - his defense attorney, B.S.) from the press who will bring to the honorable judge about periods, the honorable judge, if I wanted to work with Energy I wouldn't have met with his honor who was here Mr. Sommer or this gentleman, I would meet with the big boss, it's the easiest in the world even though I didn't know him, I would pick up the phone to a friend who grew up with me and is now the big boss of Glencore for many years,  I say to him, Alex, listen, there's Noble Energy, I want your partners here and here, as always happens, I want the boss, meet with the boss, talk to him, and if there was a business there would be a business, there would be no business, there would be no business, to put it all to the point.
