Barkai: "Are we allowed to give the quotes from Hadas?
Steif: "Look, what did the legal advisors tell us?
Canetti: "Tough question"
Steif: "Yes, this dilemma here in the studio only shows how difficult it was for us to deliberate in general. What we were told by the lawyers and legal advisors that what we were talking about is not a criminal offense, so it's already a matter of us what we want to do with them.
Canetti: "So I think that what will happen is that later in the broadcasts, and also in the coming days, we will bring it, because in the hands of Hadas and the "What's Burning" editorial board, there is a great deal of the material. Look, not all of the material... that we were exposed to is criminal material. Some of them may not be experts enough in criminal law to say whether there is criminal potential there. There are things that we immediately identified that are very explosive. There are things that can be defined, the legal advisors define them as gossip. But we will define them because they look at law and not law, criminal and non-criminal, but between gossip and criminal there is also public ethics, there is also ethics of the judicial system."

Steif: "Mainly that these are people... high-ranking"
Canetti: "Very senior"
Steif: "Among them... they talk about rabbis, other high-ranking people in such low language..."
Barkai: "It doesn't worry me... We are not Hannah Bavli, and neither are they Hannah Bavli. But these gossip are, among other things, political deals for appointments. Behind these gossip there is closing the edges."
Steif: "Exactly"
Barkai: "For very, very important positions in our judicial system, and that's the worrying thing. We're probably going to go on ... we'll bring some of the quotes"

- Thus, the question of the publication of the materials was transferred to the State Attorney's Office for examination. When the State Attorney's directive on this matter was embarrassed, and based on a conversation that Elkabetz and Barkai had with the Deputy Family Appellant, Adv. Nizri, the defendants decided not to publish the materials produced from Naveh's devices. On January 1,2019, and on January 4,2019, Shteif handed over the materials in her possession and the devices themselves ("the iron") to the police.
On January 1,2019, a gag order was issued regarding the affair. On January 16,2019, after Naveh was arrested and the gag order was partially lifted, the defendants broadcast news information on the program "What's Burning" under Barkai's instructions, which was allowed to be published by the court, with reference to the open investigation in Naveh's case. As it appears from the transcript of the broadcast, the defendants relied on the information published to the public, but also referred in general to the "materials" that came from Steif. However, the defendants refrained from concretely publishing the content of the materials, but made do with only various innuendos.
