<< Two senior coordinators in the Ministry of Environmental Protection have filed a ILS 609,000 lawsuit against the ministry's management in the Tel Aviv Regional Labor Court. The coordinators claim that the ministry's management avoids paying for overtime work and standby hours.
The lawsuit was filed by Anat Raz and Ram Ivri, who hold field positions in the Green Police, through the law firm of Afik Turgeman. The day - a step that is considered a criminal offense under the Working Hours and Rest Act. "Any employer other than the state would surely be subject to a criminal investigation," the two say. Because the wages she receives are tens of percent lower than the wages received by other workers employed in the same department and perform the same work, in violation of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act. "The state abuses the employees' employment contracts and treats them in bad faith," the lawsuit said.
The State Attorney's Office has filed a counterclaim, in which it claims that the workers must return to her money that was overpaid to them during their employment period. According to the state, the wages received by the workers embody all the social rights to which they are entitled, including hours of standby and emergency calls. It was further argued that since employees perform positions of trust, they should be excluded from the application of the Working Hours and Rest Act.
