Following the cancellation of a parking ticket, the recipient launched a smear campaign against the city prosecutor who issued the ticket, which included official complaints, sponsored Facebook shaming, and the distribution of offensive messages to her family and many municipal employees.

The Court accepted the lawsuit for defamation.  Defamation is defined as a publication likely to humiliate an individual or make them a target for hatred, contempt, or ridicule; to humiliate a person because of actions or traits attributed to them; or to harm a person in their position, business, occupation, or profession.  Various legal defences exist, such as the truth defence, dood faith, and defences regarding legal or moral duties or expressing an opinion on public conduct.  In this instance, defaming the prosecutor as "corrupt" and a "liar" harmed her professional integrity and was intended to humiliate her before her family, colleagues, and the public, with the explicit aim of causing her dismissal from public office.  Becuase none of these defences were available to the ticket recipient, he was ordered to pay ILS 200,000 in compensation and an additional ILS 40,000 in legal fees.
