Sgt. Gideon Shagan's memorandum from that day (in which it was written that Superintendent Ron Gertner also participated in the investigation) states that the respondent repeatedly denied the allegations against him, until at a certain point he stared at the police officers and replied that he had nothing to talk about. When the police saw that the respondent was not cooperating and looked tired, he was transferred to the detention center. It appears from the memorandum that the respondent's questioning ended at 02:55.
- On the day of his arrest, a search was conducted at the respondent's home, and the search report indicates that three pairs of sunglasses of different colors were seized, two pairs of gloves (one wool and one leather), two hats (one green with the "Bank Leumi" symbol and the other brown-blue), two pornographic video tapes and a package of condoms.
- The next day, on July 17, 1999, an informant was brought into the respondent's cell. The following is a small part of the exchange between the two (emphasis added):
Dubbed: What is a Russian girl, what is she?
Answer: What about Russia?
Voiced by: Israeli?
Respondent: It seems to me so, I don't know her [it should be noted that in Exhibit 31 of the State Exhibits (p. 1) this sentence is printed in the transcript, while in Exhibit 31 (p. 1), this sentence is written on a handwritten transcription printout – Y.A.].
Respondent: The thing is that they say as if, and I don't understand these things, that they can fuck me because I didn't cooperate, as if...
[...]
Informant: Did they take anything from home?
Answer: What is it? Afterwards, at 8:30... They, search and all that. They took a lot of things, but most of it is nonsense, like, pictures of girls and it's, what, who doesn't have things like that, blue tapes?
[...]
Respondent: ... I told them, I would have finished it already. But I can't admit something I didn't do, why? Why ruin my life?
[...]
Voiced by: No, no, no! He might tell you, listen, you should finish it, Thorns of Motzi, it's a matter of probation, or a fine, I don't know what you get. Because he understands, he learns it. Just as you study economics, he studies law.
