The two bullet entry wounds were carried out at close range, which was manifested in secondary gunshot marks (blackening around the edges of the wound along with tiny round rubbing wounds) on the skin around the bullet entry wounds.  In this case, the firing range can settle with less than tens of centimeters.  It was noted that a more accurate firing range comment could be made after the deceased's shirt was examined by a ballistic laboratory of the forensic laboratory (it should be noted that the deceased's shirt was not found and was apparently removed from him during his medical treatment, where he was received in the autopsy room at the Institute of Forensic Medicine wearing a hospital gown - my note Y.S.).

  1. In his final opinion of February 22, 2024 (P/83), Dr. Kotik determined that based on the findings of the autopsy on the deceased's body, his death was caused by shock from a cardiac source following the passage of a bullet through him. Direction of the projectile passage channel: back, down, and slightly left.

As for the range of the shots, it was noted that secondary gunshot marks were found around the bullet entry wound – blackening of the wound rims and marks of gunpowder grains.  Hence, the shooting was caused at close range, apparently a few centimeters.

Shock of cardiac origin in this case is caused by direct damage to the integrity of the heart chambers and the septum between them.  Such damage impairs the heart's ability to act as a pump, so there is a rapid drop in blood pressure, the blood supply to vital organs, including the brain and the heart itself, and death is caused within a short time.  The damage caused to the left lung as a result of the bullet's passage could have caused respiratory deprivation and hastened death.

In addition, a bullet entry wound was found in the front of the left shoulder.  Direction of the Bullet Passage Channel: Back and Right.  This bullet passage caused damage to only soft tissues, no damage to major blood vessels and no penetration into the pleural cavity.  Hence, he did not contribute to the death.
