Adv. Mr. D.  Or Chen:         You are, actually.

The Honorable Judge D.  Chasdai:          Shh

The witness, Prof. Gad Rennert:   So I say that these substances know how to make cancer if they are above a certain threshold.  Okay? So in different durations of action and so on with a certain probability you know unequivocally that they are certain carcinogens, by the very fact that you said that, But don't call the industry a sure carcinogen.  Okay? The ammonia tank in Haifa is scary, I was scared to death.

Adv. Mr. D.  Or Chen:         No, not related to the ammonia

The Honorable Judge D.  Chasdai:          Don't interrupt, please.

Adv. Mr. D.  Or Chen:         No, what do I need the ammonia now?

The Honorable Judge D.  Chasdai:          You don't need anything, I know.  The witness replies, you don't interrupt him.

Adv. Mr. D.  Or Chen:         Okay, no problem

The Honorable Judge D.  Chasdai:          Thank you.  If there is no problem, then my lord will not interrupt it.

Adv. Mr. D.  Or Chen:         We'll come to the next meeting, no problem, let him continue as much as he wants, talk about ammonia

The Honorable Judge D.  Chasdai:          Thank you.

Adv. Mr. D.  Or Chen:         And you can also talk about Hezbollah now.

The Honorable Judge D.  Chasdai:          Thank you, Mr. Or Chen.

The witness, Prof. Gad Rennert:   I'm not so much.

The Honorable Judge D.  Chasdai:          Please, Prof. Rennert.

The witness, Prof. Gad Rennert:   No, I just said that there are things in the industry that are very scary and of course as a citizen you want to impose as many restrictions as possible and meet the thresholds as much as possible, but at the end of the day in a civilized country, if there is a Ministry of Environmental Protection, it sets criteria, it sets penalties, so please, all the factories will meet the criteria and the penalties.  I'm not here to postpone this thing.  I'm just saying that there's no reason to tell a Haifa resident that he's going to die of cancer, because of a risk that doesn't exist.  It doesn't make sense.  You're just scaring him, you're lowering his quality of life.  His probability of getting sick increases instead of going down.  You didn't do anything.
