In that case, the defendant was sentenced to 44 months in prison, in accordance with a closed plea bargain, for a long list of serious economic offenses and fraudulent acts committed over a long period of time, in an affair described at the beginning of the sentence as "one of the largest fraud and fraud cases exposed in the capital market in Israel."  The difference to the case before us is great, especially since the aforementioned area in  the Goldman case also included the  felony offense of impeachment in the investigation, for which Fischer was not convicted.

(e)        Criminal Case (Shalom Jerusalem) 38168-01-16 State of Israel v. Olmert (January 10, 2016) - The defendant, former Prime Minister of Israel, was convicted according to his confession as part of a plea bargain Close, on two counts of obstruction of justice that he committed against his former office manager, Shula Zaken.  In the first charge, the defendant persuaded Zaken, who was accused with him in the criminal case that was being conducted in the Jerusalem District Court, to refrain from testifying.  In the second charge, he urged Zaken not to sign a plea bargain that was offered to her in the Holyland case that was conducted against them in the Tel Aviv District Court.  This was done by exerting pressure on Zaken, promising favors on a large scale, an implicit threat, sowing fear and exploiting the defendant's power and influence over her.  In the plea bargain, it was agreed that a sentence of 6 months in prison would be served concurrently with the 18-month prison sentence imposed on the defendant in the Holyland case.  The court determined from the compound an appropriate punishment for the two offenses of obstruction, ranging between 3 to 9 months in prison; approved the 6-month prison term agreed upon in the plea bargain; However, he ruled that out of this period, 30 days in prison will be served Cumulatively to the 18-month prison sentence imposed on the defendant in the Holyland case, while the remainder of the period will be served concurrently with the same sentence.
