12-34-56-78 Chekhov v.  State of Israel, P.D.  51 (2)

  1. According to the facts of the fourth indictment, following what was stated in the third indictment, at approximately 04:30 A.M., the defendant left for the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, with at least seven Molotov cocktails in his bag. When he arrived near the entrance to the courthouse, the defendant took out seven Molotov cocktails from his bag, set them on fire and threw them at the checkpoint at the entrance to the courthouse, one by one.  The bottles shattered and caught fire, causing a fire at the entrance door to the courthouse and the checkpoint, causing damage to it.  One of the bottles shattered and caught fire near the window of the security guards' room, who were present in the room at the time.
  2. According to the facts of the fifth indictment, after the defendant's arrest, on November 6, 2023, the defendant was in a waiting cell in the Jerusalem detention center. At this point, the defendant began to curse the guard Fares Fares, who was on duty at the time, shouting, knocking on the cell doors and spitting at the guard.  In response, the guard approached the defendant's cell, with the aim of leading him to another, more distant cell.  After they were put in the new cell, the defendant attacked the guard by striking him in the chest and shoulder.

The Defendant's Response to the Indictment

  1. In his reply to the indictment, the defendant, through his counsel, denied the facts and the offenses attributed to him in the indictment.
