According to him, he and the defendant volunteered in an association for the education of the Druze community, participated in many projects to promote the status of Druze women in Israeli society, establish a soldier's house, assist discharged soldiers throughout the country, and prepare for the IDF. He also claimed that the defendant had even represented him as a lawyer personally and that they had spent a lot of time together. He added that he knew his first wife as well as the second. He said that his divorce process lasted several years and had a significant impact on him. He praised his children and the various achievements they achieved.
- Testimony of Mr. Amir Sa'id
Mr. Sa'id testified before me on 25 December 2025 (pp. 390-394) and said that he had been serving as the Director of Emergency Security in Isfiya for about 7 years, and that he had previously been a police officer in the Israel Prison Service for 28 years. The witness spoke about the defendant's assistance to the residents of the community during the Corona period and during the "Iron Swords" war, as well as about his contribution to the elderly and the needy in the community.
The defense witnesses focused on praising the defendant in relation to his contribution to the community and the community, without addressing the series of offenses of which he was convicted in the various cases, and therefore I found that their testimony should be given partial and limited weight when sentencing the defendant.
- I will also consider the principle of uniformity of punishment - counsel for the defendant argued that the sentence imposed on Majida, his accomplice, should be applied to the defendant's sentence.
A parallel proceeding was conducted against Majda, the defendant's accomplice in some of his actions, in the framework of criminal case 20509-04-21 before the Honorable Judge Maria Ficus Bogdanov, in this court. On March 17, 2025, she was sentenced and sentenced to 9 months in prison to be served by way of community service, two conditional sentences, a fine of ILS 30,000 and compensation to each of the complainants (6 in number) in the amount of ILS 20,000.
