The defendant's testimony in court and his difficulties

In court, the defendant's version developed and shades, layers and stages were added to it.  The defendant testified during a significant number of hearings on 10 April 2024, 14 April 2024, 30 April 2024, 5 May 2024, 15 May 2024, 3 June 2024, and 3 July 2024.

In his testimony, the defendant said that he wanted to buy the Chevrolet for his son Ariel, who was discharged from the army and began working in February 2021 at the lottery station in the compound.  Moshe (forbidden) who worked there taught him the secrets of the profession and his intention was to replace Moshe.  Since all the residents of the house (at 18 HaGevvora Street) are served by only one vehicle (the Toyota car, white in color, with a different appeal registered by the daughter Stav), and since Ariel also used this car and thus prevented the other residents of the house, especially his mother, from being able to use the Toyota car, the defendant decided to "look for a car for him that will handle himself".  Personally, at that time, and for about ten years, he did not own a car, because "I am full of everything, Your Honor, I am 67 years old, [...] I ride public transportation and taxis, hitchhiking, taking a car from home, accompanying people sometimes, hanging on." As for the Toyota car, the defendant did not remember when it was purchased, and if Stav said that she did not know about it and had never used it, then "she also said about the circumcision with her father, so when Ariel made a circumcision she was a year old and when Afiq made a circumcision she was three years old, so the court asks her if she was in the circumcision." In any case, the Toyota car was also used at times.  His adult children also didn't have a car of their own, so "I decided to look for a car for him [Ariel] when I pass through an industrial zone I see a car in a lot, it was the only car in that lot.  [...] Eliran's field.  [...] Eliran Sabag's lot, this car was on the field, I looked at the car and told Eliran it's for sale? He said yes, can I do a spin on it? He gave me the remote control and I drove on the car and by the way it's the first time I've driven a car that doesn't have a key, it's a car with only a remote control.  [...] I got in the car, took a spin on it, entered Ariel for the Toto Lottery.  [...] In order to see what Ariel would say, Ariel saw the car in motion, an American car, took out his phone, took a picture of the car in its place, I told him what you were saying, he told me Dad would fit the car for me." The visit was allegedly made on March 2, 2021, at 11:15 A.M., in view of photos produced from Ariel's mobile phone.  The defendant said that he did not inquire about any details about the vehicle, was not aware of the accident that the vehicle had undergone, or its year of manufacture.  Later, he returned to Eliran Sabag that "the boy wanted the car, I talked to him about the car and what the price of the car was."
