His testimony was heard in court, at a hearing on November 29, 2022. In his main interrogation, he reiterated that the relationship between him and the deceased was familial, and that they also worked and spent time together, while with the defendant the relationship was less close, and they hardly saw each other. In his cross-examination, he denied that he noticed the son using drugs, spending time together, or behaving in an unusual manner. The witness also denied knowledge of any dispute between the defendant and the deceased, including messages (WhatsApp and SMS) that were exchanged between the two.

In the first statement, he described the morning of the incident. According to him, he woke up at around 7:00 A.M., helped his grandmother move the refrigerators, smoked a cigarette and left for work at about 7:50 A.M. Before leaving, he checked that the deceased was asleep in the room, because he was not home when he went to bed, at around 11:00 P.M. The witness ruled out a dispute between him and any of his cousins, as well as between the defendant and the deceased. In the second statement, the witness again denied a dispute between him and the deceased, and with regard to the defendant, he replied that he had no interaction with him, and that since the "shiva" on his father, he had been distancing himself from him. The witness identified the defendant in the video of the security cameras that were shown to him (P/49), and this, according to him, was based on his gait, hat and movements (Q. 21, 23 in the statement, as well as Q. 152, 154 and 157 in the transcript). He reiterated that on the day of the incident, before he left the house for work, at about 7:50 A.M., he checked that the defendant was sleeping in the room, because he had not seen him the night before and had left the (rear. A.W.) door open.
