His testimony in court was heard at the hearing on 1 February 2022.  According to him, when he received the call from the hotline, he was very close to the scene, and arrived there, together with Inspector Lidor Ohayon, seconds to a few minutes later.  When he entered the street, he encountered a medic treating the injured man (whom he called "gentleman"), on the sidewalk, and tried to extract details from them about what had happened.  At this point, he thought the defendant was the victim (and later referred to the body camera footage, adding that he also believed that there was a suspect who had fled the scene).  After he called additional forces, and tracing the source of the blood together with them, they arrived at the house and saw (he and Officer Assaf) that he was covered in blood.  Hearing the shouts of Officer Nuriel, the witness went to the back of the house, where he saw another victim on the floor, almost unconscious.  He estimated that from the moment he arrived on the street until he saw the second injured person, a few minutes had passed.  In cross-examination, he confirmed to the defense attorney that he had received the call at 09:20:37 and confirmed a second arrival later, as recorded in the report (P/24B), and that at first he thought that the defendant was the victim about whom he had received the report, and not the suspect.  Therefore, according to him, he asked him for his identity, and they asked him to provide details about the incident.  The second injured man (the deceased), who was under initial impression unconscious, was followed by Policeman Nuriel Aharon.

  • Netivot Station Policeman, Sgt. Nuriel Aharon, T.5 - 2 body camera videos were submitted (P/25); a viewing report, edited by Policeman Elad Avraham (P/25A); and an action report (P/25B).

In one of the videos, the defendant is seen being treated in an ambulance, and at the witness's request, he gives his ID number.  Along the street, the witness tries to ask citizens what they saw, scans bins and vehicles in search of evidence, and arrives at the scene in the yard of the grandmother's house.  There, the deceased is seen covered in blood and whimpering, and rescue forces are called.  The witness accompanies the deceased in an ambulance, on his way to the hospital.  The video documents the entire course of the journey - evacuating the deceased to the hospital, admitting him to the trauma unit, and attempts to save him, which were unsuccessful.  In the second, and shorter video, the deceased's father is seen in the hospital, near the trauma room.
