The witness is referred to the experience of moving the first place of hearing, P/16 of April 16, p. 5 - the list of exhibits and tests that were performed. The table begins on the right with the exhibit numbers, except for the first row, in which there is a sample of the deceased's blood, which was sampled for the purpose of obtaining a profile of the deceased. The materials on display were tested as suspected of blood, and were found to be positive (the plus mark on the left side). The test is a test that confirms a substance that is suspected to be blood (p. 533, s. 5). At an advanced stage of some of these samples, it turned out that there is more than one source of DNA in the test, and she added: "So if there is one source that is blood, the second source is not necessarily blood, it may be or it may not be, it's a little, we have to see what we are talking about here" - this is probably the obvious clarification.
The plaintiff asks the witness to refer to exhibits 2 and 3, which are the nails of the deceased, right and left. The witness confirms that there is a minus in the results of the quantification, and explains: "This means that the amount of DNA extracted from these samples, the amount obtained by extracting the DNA, is too low... and it is below the threshold that we continue the examination. In fact, the test stops at this stage" (pp. 533, paras. 27-29 and 30-31).
Page 7 is the conclusions section, and it is also arranged as a table. On the right side are the exhibits and their numbers. In the center, under the description of the profile, there is a reference to what was obtained in terms of the genetic profile itself, what characteristics it includes. The next column - the possible compatibility of those involved in the case that were examined. The penultimate column - the statistics. Some of the rows have a reference to the table that will appear on the following pages, and in some of the rows the number appears, in the fixed form of 1 over a billion. For example: the third row of the table - the description shown is the path of a substance suspected to be blood, marked in scene 3. The number of the laboratory exhibit is 7. A single profile of a male individual was obtained, which corresponds to Maor Dadon, and the prevalence of the profile is what is called "one in over a billion. The witness explains: "This table is from a point of view, wherever a single profile is obtained, so in fact the statistical result is constant, one in a billion, and of course it is possible to explain if there is a need. In four other exhibits, I refer to Table D2, which is actually the next page, because in all four of these exhibits, DNA mixtures were actually obtained. And unlike in the more distant past, today we perform the analysis of the mixtures on our own, using software that performs a calculation called a probabilistic genotype." The witness further explained to the plaintiff the last pages of the opinion, that: "This is information that we regularly attach to the opinion, as soon as this method is used. So the last pages are actually an explanation, let's say that we were able to at least write it ourselves" (p. 535). Method - refers to a statistical method, a form of calculation, which is actually an analysis. It is actually a statistic that does not stand on its own, but is based on the analysis of the genotype itself. A combination of the biology of the profile with the statistics. This can only be done by someone who is both a statistician and a biologist.
