Shohat joined Matrix in mid-2009 and served as a salesman there (p. 6697, paras. 1-13).  As a salesman, Shochat was subordinate to the VP of Sales, Yariv Harush (Harush), who in turn was subordinate to the CEO (p. 6699, paras. 8-15, P/240, paras. 69-72).  As a salesman, Shochat focused mainly on IBM equipment, a field in which he had experience, abilities, expertise, knowledge and familiarity with customers, including IAI, and with IBM entities, all of which he had acquired in previous workplaces (p. 6697, paras. 12-23; in relation to his previous experience, see p. 6694, paras. 10-31; pp. 6695-6696).  The role of a slaughterer included sales, establishing contact with the customer, identifying business opportunities and closing deals (P/240, paras. 67-68).  A central part of Shohat's job was to submit price quotes to customers and in competitive proceedings (p. 6865, paras. 9-10).  Shochat had discretion to determine the price of the bids, and for the most part he was not required to obtain approval from his superiors in order to submit a price proposal, except when he wanted to exceed a certain rate of profitability or when it came to penetration customers (p. 6701, s. 9-19, p. 6702, s. 29-30, p. 6718, s. 11-21; p. 6874, s. 9-10; in order to approach a tender, approval is required.  p. 6867, s. 10).  As a salesman, he is the one who priced the price quotes, and in the vast majority of cases, 99.9%, he is not required to obtain any approval in order to submit a price quote (P/240, paras. 79-87).

Shohat was defined as a "customer portfolio manager" in Matrix (e.g., P/508, P/450).  As part of his position, he was responsible for liaison with various clients, including large corporations, such as Pelephone, Shufersal, Clalit Health Fund, Elbit and others (P/240, paras. 45-49, although the scope of Matrix's activity with these customers was not clarified).  The civil appeal was also a client of Shohat's responsibility.  Shohat worked with the Civil Appeal for a long time, about 15 years, even before he joined the Matrix (P/240, paras. 58-59).  Shkanevsky testified that Shochat was Matrix's regular contact with whom he worked (pp. 1115-1116).  Shohat testified that even when he was required to obtain the approval of his superiors, Shochat was the one who led the process vis-à-vis the client, he was the one who was knowledgeable, he was the one who managed the client and the transaction (p. 6883, s. 1 - p. 6884, s. 2, there specifically in relation to the Oranim project; accordingly, Pinko wrote to Shochat, shortly after they received the Oranim from Shkanevsky, that Shochat would respond to IAI "according to what you want to do," while writing to Harush and Matrix CEO Avi Goldstein (Goldstein) about it) (N/445); Later, Harush also asked Shochat what he thought about the Oranim Infantry Division (N/448); Shochat testified that he was approached because he was "managing the client," p. 6883, para. 16; Matrix tried to build on the fact that the Oranim Brigade was sent to Pinko and not to the slaughterer, and from the fact that Pinko continued to be involved; However, Shochat testified that Pinko brought the lead, the initial connection, and from there it was Shochat who led (p. 6883, paras. 1-4).
