At this point, too, Tawfiq gets up from his chair, points towards the defendant and repeats the threatening words that the defendant uttered. After the defendant denies this, Tawfiq bursts out, shouts and this time suggests that the defendant be the one to swear on the Koran: "He says he didn't tell Muhammad that I was going to get the dodge, right?... So I ask him and you to come in and pray and bring the Quran and put his hand on the Quran and pray and say that if he agrees we will see who is right and who is a liar, first of all I came here to show you that he is a liar and to show you what his lawyer is explaining to him what to say [...] What did you do to me? This is my cousin, you ran him over like a cat..."
At the end of the confrontation, interrogator Zeitoun asks Tawfiq if he wants to ask the defendant something, and this is on his own initiative for the third time, and he recounts the defendant's threat to the deceased, asking them to bring a Koran and that the defendant, who denies it, will also put his hand on the Koran.
On the other hand, the defendant remained relatively calm, did not cry out in the face of what Tawfiq had hurled at him, and made do with saying to Tawfiq, "Why did you come to confront me, you want to finish off me... What did I do to you... ". Needless to say, this statement clarifies to Tawfiq the implications of what he said about the defendant. It should be noted that at this point, and in response, Tawfiq got up for the third time, got up from his chair and burst out: "You're done with him, you murdered him like a cat, what did you do to me? What, you ran him over like a cat, that's what you did to me. .".
So far as the confrontation is concerned.
According to the defense, an indication that the version of the threats is false is inferred from the fact that Tawfiq, when he was interrogated by the police, did not give a similar description of the threats on all the occasions when he was required to do so. In this regard, it is indeed possible to discern the difference in the way Tawfiq described the threat made by the defendant, but it cannot be said that this difference indicates that this part of his version is false.
