Tavorinsky's testimony

Main Investigation (Transcript of April 5, 2022)

  1. Tavorinsky testified that Rauf worked at D.B.S. for several months. He knew him through the defendant, at a time when he needed an engineer because Michael Hassidian, the engineer, was "sucked" into a huge project at Intel. It was two to four months, until Hassidian's return. Tavorinsky saw Rauf several times throughout the entire period. Rauf was not associated with any project, but served as a backup, for example when he accompanied him as an engineer on contractors' tours, and then the witness used to pass on the details to Hassidian (pp. 765-766).
  2. Tavorinsky was asked why he had sent the defendant the employment certificate given to Rauf (P/121 - the employment certificate dated December 14, 2016 on behalf of D.B.S. and Tavorinsky's signature, according to which Rauf "is employed by our company as a execution engineer on projects throughout the country... full-time, with a monthly salary... works professionally and responsibly to the satisfaction of the employer"; P/122 indicates that he sent it on WhatsApp on December 15, 2016). The witness replied that he did not remember, and that Rauf may have asked for it (p. 766). The witness did not remember what Rauf's salary was, but he agreed with Rauf a global salary. In response to the claim that Rauff stated in the interrogation that he was not affiliated with any project and that he had received a salary due to professional secrets, the witness replied that he did not know what Rauff meant by "trade secrets", but that he needed Rauf as a backup and that there were things he could not do without an engineer, such as going on a tour (p. 768).

Tavorinsky testified that he spoke Russian (p. 768). During the period of his employment, the witness met Rauf "maybe 30 times." Due to language difficulties, Rauf could not be permanently assigned to projects, but Tavorinsky knew how to get along with him (pp. 768-769).

Cross-examination (transcript of June 23, 2022)

  1. It was clarified that VorinSky did not admit anything relating to Rauf's employment as a bribe or any benefit to the defendant (p. 299).

Testimony of Michael Hassidian (transcript of December 21, 2021)

  1. In his main interrogation, the witness testified that during the period when he was busy with a large project at Intel, Tavorinsky brought Rauf to help him with a number of things. The witness saw Rauff once or twice and had no interaction with him (p. 581).
