On February 5, 2026, Amendment No. 12 to the Israeli Notaries Law was legislated.  It stipulates that a power of attorney granted to a banking corporation for the purpose of executing a mortgage transaction, including its cancellation, transfer, modification of its terms, or any other action involving the recording of the transaction shall be valid even if it was not drafted by a notary public or if the signatures thereon were not authenticated by a notary public.
