It should also be noted that a viewing of the video of Defendant 2's first interrogation (P/10B) shows that at the beginning of the interrogation Defendant 2 did not appear nervous, tried to convey composure, and gave a version of his actions with Defendant 1 in recent days; What can be consistent with the defendants' statement is that already on their way to the party, they coordinated what to say to the police if they were interrogated.  Later in the interrogation, Defendant 2 was caught with quite a few contradictions, matched his answers to the material that came to him from the questions that were thrown at him, and you can actually see how he thinks and begins to understand that the interrogators have additional evidence, and it even seems that during the interrogation he realized that Defendant 1 shared with the interrogators more than was agreed upon between them (regarding the drug deal with the deceased); Later in the interrogation, he appeared a little alert and less cold-blooded, and this was especially evident towards the end of the interrogation when he was asked about the Paz gas station in Sderot.

As it appears from the testimony of Investigator Benita, at the end of the interrogation, Defendant 2 was nervous when he noticed bruises on his body and even when he slammed him in the face that he was not telling the whole truth, and at this point he left him under the supervision of Investigator Malichi.  From all of the above, it can be assumed that Defendant 2, whom I have the impression of being a wise man, understood towards the end of the first interrogation that the investigation team had quite a bit of evidence and that "the walls are beginning to close on him", and this explains why he asked Investigator Malichi what would happen to him.  At this stage, apparently, Defendant 2 decided to flee himself, while attempting to place all the responsibility for the incident on Defendant 1; Therefore, he sought to "tell the truth," while trying to get assurances from the investigation team, and when in fact he initiated the conversation.
