January 21, 2026

Now that the defendant has confessed to the acts he committed on August 29, 2022, he seeks to escape responsibility by means of the suppressed claim that he acted that day not on his own initiative, but according to the instructions of his cousin Samer, the same cousin who, according to the defendant's latest version, received the 685 subscription from him the night before the murder, and returned the phone to him the night before the arrest.  According to the defendant, while he was driving in a Mazda with Abed and Odai, Abed received a phone call from his brother, Samar, and he was the one who instructed the three to order a tow truck, pick up the Mitsubishi from the parking lot, change the license plates, and tow the Mitsubishi to a distant destination.  According to the defendant, he was afraid of Samer, who was a high-ranking person in the criminal world, and therefore he did as he said without asking questions.

However, as will be clarified at length below, beyond the fact that this is a suppressed version, which cannot be examined in depth due to the fact that Samer was murdered before the defendant first gave the incriminating version of him, the accuser was able to present a variety of objective, indisputable evidence, which refutes the version regarding the transfer of the phone to Samer, and the defendant's attempt to position Samer as the person behind the murders and the disruption.  In these circumstances, the defendant's actions on August 29, 2022, meet his full evidentiary weight, and attest to the intensity of his involvement and his dominance in planning, promoting and executing the acts of murder and disruption.

Early detection of the duplicate license plate number

The evidence also indicates that the relationship between the defendant and the Mitsubishi began about three weeks before the day of the murder.  As may be recalled, the vehicle was stolen on 8 June 2022, and there is no dispute that on 8 July 2022 at approximately 11:33 P.M., the vehicle was brought from the Judea and Samaria area into Israeli territory, through the Rantis crossing, by Ahmad Musrati, the defendant's uncle, and Muhammad al-Khatib, Ahmad's nephew and another cousin of the defendant [P/72 - Integrated report - in paragraph 3, N/23 - Hawk's eye photo, testimony of defense witness Ahmad Musrati].
