The witness was further asked if he had been exposed to any rumors regarding the reason for the deceased's murder; The deceased is not a criminal and has no involvement in the criminal field.  As to the question raised by the defense as to whether someone had raised a theory that the deceased had a relationship with a married woman, which could perhaps be the basis for the occurrence that is the subject of this proceeding, the witness replied that he did not remember.  See in this context – p. 216, where the witness replied to the questions addressed to him, as follows:

"Adv. Arbel:  If you've heard, if someone threw this theory at you? Maybe it's romantic, maybe it's?

The witness, Mr. Sasson: Not that I remember saying something like that, no, that I remember, maybe, I don't want to say no and I don't want to say yes."

(ibid., lines 18-21).

The witness was also asked if he had heard from any source that the deceased had died as a result of stabbing.  Here, too, the witness did not know how to provide a clear answer, nor did he remember whether he had heard about it, as he noted; "I think it was an advertisement in the newspaper, I don't remember if it was on the weekend or it was in the local newspaper or when I was at Shiva at the family's house" (p. 217, lines 17-18).

  1. From here to the testimony of Mrs. L.; This witness was in contact with the deceased for a period of about a month and a half. She decided to cut off contact with him about a week before the murder.  This is because the deceased was "It's a bit strange and he didn't speak, I felt that he wasn't talking to me in full transparency(See her testimony, p. 220, lines 21-22).  According to her, she did not feel comfortable with him and later testified: "...  It was very strange, very dark, I didn't understand what was going on and I decided it wasn't right for me(p. 221, lines 4-5).

According to the witness, she heard about the murder the day after the incident (p. 221, line 9).  The witness stated that she did not feel that the deceased had made a circle near her house after the contact with her was cut off, and she also testified that he did not harass her (p. 221, lines 18-20).
