Thus, about six months after the murder was committed, the "alibi version" relating to the defendant's location at the time of the murder was committed, to which the defendant adapted the "Aviel Dadon version" which refers to the possession of the Chevrolet car during the relevant hours of the murder, without any mention of these versions in any of the defendant's statements taken prior to the filing of the indictment.

The defendant's eighth statement was taken by Shai Peleg on September 26, 2021 (P/8, P/8B), after he had consulted for about an hour and a half with his two attorneys, and after apparently also reviewing the evidence in the accuser's possession, he moved on to the indictment.  At that time, the defendant gave the version, which was partly his version in the defense case.

At the beginning of the interrogation, surprisingly, the defendant claimed that this was the first time he had been given the opportunity to speak with a lawyer, and therefore, "to this day I could not, I could not give my version."

The defendant said that prior to the murder, he took the Chevrolet car from Eliran Sabag's car park in order to use his son Ariel, but had not yet purchased the car.  The day before the murder of the deceased, 23 March 2021, he met with Adv. Arnon Savyon in the Krayot regarding a lawsuit he was supposed to file against Hananya Piso.  After leaving Adv. Arnon Savyon's office, he met Rafi by chance, whose last name he did not remember, and asked him for a loan of ILS 10,000.  He couldn't say exactly where they met, "I don't remember in the Kirya [...] I saw his car and met him, I don't remember exactly, in the Kirya.  I don't know the Krayot well" (P/8B, pp.  6-7).  The meeting was brief.  From there, the defendant drove to Nesher.  Later that day, he gave the Chevrolet car to the late Aviel Dadon, but he did not even remember the latter's name at first, and thought his name was Liel or Eliel.  As he put it, "I drove in the direction of Nesher [...] And a guy named Ah asked me.  Dadoune: I don't even remember his name [...] He asked me for the ...  The car [...] I told him that I would leave the...  The remote control on the rear wheel [...] of the...  Of that car, of the car, I don't know its type [...] of Eliran's car."
