His testimony in court was heard at the hearing on 1 February 2022. At the beginning of his main interrogation, the witness stated that he had arrived at the scene at the grandmother's house, following a report he had received from HaMoked, together with policeman Assaf Salah (A.T.7 below). He estimated that they were the third police car that arrived at the scene, about 7-8 minutes after the call. Near the house, the witness saw Policeman Almog Ratzbi (A.T.4 above), and helped him block the entrance in order to guard the scene. Hearing shouting from the back of the house, he ran there and saw a man lying on his back, with his hands up (the witness indicated that this was face level), all full of blood and holding a knife in his right hand. The witness further said that he moved the knife from the wounded man's hand, with his leg, lest he attack them with it, picked it up with the help of a bag, in order to protect T.A. (He also repeated this in his cross-examination), and handed it over to Policeman Nati (Netanel Weizmann, p.8 below). To the plaintiff's question, the witness replied that he did not know, in real time, who the suspect was and who the victim was. In response to the court's question, he ruled out the use of force to move the knife from the wounded man's hand, because, according to him, it was in his hand and not in it. In his cross-examination, the witness again clarified to the defense attorney that the deceased's hand was open, not clenched, and that the knife was placed on it. When asked why in his report (P/26C) he wrote that the injured man was holding the knife in his hand, he replied that his intention, even then, was not actually grasping, and therefore he had no difficulty moving the knife with his leg, as can be seen from the video. In response to the court's question, he replied that the injured man, who did not know whether he was the victim or the suspect, was lying on the floor and had been stabbed in the upper chest. In addition, they saw additional cuts on him, inter alia, because he was not wearing a shirt.
- Netivot Station Policeman, Sgt. Yossi Assaf Salah, A.T. 7 - 2 body camera videos were submitted (P/27); a viewing report, edited by Policeman Elad Avraham (P/27A); and an action report (P/27B).
In the first video, the witness is seen scanning the two crime scenes, and approaching the ambulance where the defendant is located. When he asked him what had happened, the defendant replied, "He stabbed me," added "Ben stabbed me," and clarified that he meant "Ben Dadon." After identifying himself to the witness as "Maor Dadon," he answered additional questions - to the question of why Ben did it, he replied, "I don't know, he attacked me," confirmed that he was "alone," and that he lived "here" (i.e., in the grandmother's house. A.W.). Later, when asked who was the other person involved who did this to him, "Dan Dan" replied, adding that he was also a family member of his, and his name was "Daniel Sarahsher." The witness accompanied the defendant in an ambulance, and after they arrived at the hospital, informed him of his arrest and handcuffed him, as can be seen in the second video. In the same second video, the defendant answered the witness's question, "I'm telling you, Ben stabbed me," and to the question of why Ben did it, the defendant replied, "I defended myself. Defense."
