In addition, a previous document P/12 was also submitted - "The Forensic Doctor's Position - Preliminary Summary of Findings and Further Treatment", dated March 24, 2021, in relation to the deceased.  Written by Dr.  Ran Mashraki and signed with the approval of the senior physician, Dr.  Alon Krispin.  The position of the forensic doctor, in accordance with the aforementioned document, is that in order to determine the cause of death and to answer other investigative questions, an autopsy is required.

Dr.  Crispin testified in court at the hearing on January 1, 2023.  At the beginning of his testimony, the witness explained that although Dr.  Ran Mashraki also signed the opinion, the witness himself was present at the entire autopsy, which was performed by Dr.  Mashraki as part of his internship, criticized his activities and examined the findings he had reached, and clarified that "in this case we are dealing with an autopsy that we performed almost together, while I am doing some of the more complex operations" (pp.  579, paras.  24-25).  In his cross-examination, the witness noted that in addition to himself and Dr.  Mashraki, the transfer of the hearing was the approval of another doctor, apparently Dr.  Chen Kugel, in accordance with the Institute's internal procedures.
