After evading direct answers to the question of why he focused on the content of the appeal in such an intense and ongoing manner, the defendant replied that he had done so out of curiosity (p. 161, September 7, 2025).

00As for instruction files for the manufacture of explosives, he admitted that he had downloaded "one or two books" to his mobile phone, although he claimed that he did not remember what was in them (pp. 160-185, 29 May 2025).  Later, he said that he may have seen headlines but did not read the content.

He said that he downloaded the files out of curiosity, and when asked what was so intriguing about ISIS's content, he retracted it and said that it was not interesting, and that he had no purpose or interest, when shortly afterwards, he claimed that perhaps the title was interesting, although after reading a few lines, it was boring (p. 179).

The defendant denied that he had read the materials dealing with the bombs found on his mobile phone, and as for the files of poisons and toxic gases, he did not rule out that he had downloaded them, although his answers in this regard were vague and evasive: "I don't know," "It could have been on my mobile phone," "I didn't open it," "I don't remember at all."

Regarding the poison files, even though they were submitted with the consent of the defense as part of an exhibit file obtained from the defendant's devices (mobile, computer and tablet), the defendant in his testimony in court gave vague and contradictory answers in this context: "I don't know," "I didn't open it," "It could be that I downloaded it by mistake, it could be that it was from files that I downloaded was there and I didn't notice..." (pp. 166-167, 29 May 2025), and "I don't know what it does to me on the phone at all" (pp. 169, 175, 29 May 2025).

In addition, although he confirmed that he was the only one using his mobile device, the defendant did not know how to explain why the toxins and gases files were on his mobile device, and when they were password protected (pp. 166, 159, 175, 29 May 2025): "It could be that I downloaded it by mistake, it could be that it was from other files that I downloaded there as well and I didn't notice, it could be that the name of it was something else, you made something and then it turned out that it was...  S...  I...  Explanation I am only me..." (Transcript of 29 May 2025, p. 167).
