In addition, a photo dated June 17 was found on Muhammad's phone. At 9:35 P.M., Muhammad is seen pointing a triple finger at the camera. In addition, in the third photo, 79 years old, which appears to be a picture from a security camera at the gas station, Muhammad is seen holding a cell phone in his right hand and pointing a triple finger in his left hand, and it appears that this is in fact the same incident that was recorded on the phone that was seized on him and in the security camera video.
During Muhammad's testimony of 7 October 2021 in the serious crimes case 20157-08-19 (in which he was tried as a defendant – P/162), the interrogator referred him to what he had said in his interrogation with the police (P/30), in which he claimed, as stated above, that he had actually received the news of the murder at a gas station in Lod, and Muhammad replied, "I don't remember." Muhammad also did not know why he was photographed making a triple finger at the gas station, and in his reply he replied, "It's normal" (p. 671), and Muhammad also did not recall saying to the informant, "I ate it," referring to the fact that his picture was not found in the videos at a gas station an hour before and an hour after the murder (p. 676).
All of the actions of defendant 1 and Muhammad, including their versions in the police in the initial interrogations, present an attempt by defendant 1 and Muhammad to create an alibi for the murder. The fact that the attempts of Muhammad and Defendant 1 to create an effective "alibi" did not diminish the feeling that the mere attempt to create that "alibi" would strengthen the evidence against them.
Arriving at the gas station about an hour after the murder, remembering that incident about two weeks later during their interrogation, and mentioning the incident in an attempt to present an alibi claim of "I would have been somewhere else" will strengthen the evidence against Muhammad and Defendant 1.
