The informant insisted that Investigator Saban had not spoken to him about the case itself, and when asked who Saban was, he replied , "I know them all, I've been working with them for years...  I know all the researchers" (ibid., p. 189).

He also explained that the investigation officer who spoke to him did not deal with his case, he belonged to the police officer himself, "but not to the investigation itself" (p. 191, s. 13).

During Investigator Saban's testimony in court, Mr. Saban answered the question of whether he had been in contact with the agent, saying: "I was in his first meeting.  I wasn't at the briefing, I don't know what a briefing is, I was in his first meeting."

Later in his interrogation, Investigator Saban was referred by the defense attorney to a memorandum he had drawn up on 7.719 (P/86) in which he stated, inter alia, "After Shalom, I told the informant that this was a murder case that took place in the settlement of Hura about 3 weeks ago, we coordinated a cover story for the informant, according to which he was a detainee at the Rahat station where he was trafficking weapons...  We coordinated the codes together for distress or consultation with a lawyer, and I wrote them down in a position diary, the informant asked me how he behaved during interrogations, I told him that he did not fully cooperate and did not answer difficult questions, but only what was convenient for him.  When asked by the informant if he was arrested alone in the case, I replied that there were other detainees in the case, but I did not elaborate."

According to the defense, the aforementioned memorandum indicates that the interrogator met with the informant and briefed him with Muhammad before entering the detention cell.

When the interrogator was referred to the fact that it was in fact a briefing, he replied: "You can call it a briefing, the person briefing him is an informant officer, not in my presence, I didn't tell him how to work, I didn't tell him what to ask, I didn't tell him which approach to take."
