In his interrogation with the police on 14 July 2019, the defendant also stated that he was not in the Occupied Territories on 14 June 2019 (Q. 113-114), and in another interrogation on 15 July 2019 he claimed that he did not drive with defendant 2 in his car on 14 June 2019 (P/5 Q. 21-22).  However, in his reply to the indictment, he admitted that he had joined defendant 2 and Muhammad on the trip to Judea and Samaria (p. 41 of the transcript of 22 October 2020, paras. 22-24).

The defendant also claimed in his interrogations that he did not drive in defendant 2's car (P/5) on the day of the murder, contrary to what he said in court on the matter.  (Transcript of December 26, 2022, p. 304, s. 29 - p. 305, s. 1).

As presented above, during his interrogations with the police, many lies were found in the defendant's statements, with the lies presented relating to his location on the day of the murder, the connection to the getaway vehicle, and the creation of the false alibi, and they indicate his intention to conceal key details relating to the commission of the murder and to conceal his connection to those details.  These lies will serve as supporting evidence and even as evidence of his role in the murder.

Reading the version of defendant 1 as it emerges from the evidence in the case at hand, it can be said that this is a version that was conspicuously and extremely unreliable.

The circumstantial and direct evidence of defendant 1's involvement in the murder

Indeed, there is not much direct and concrete evidence against Defendant 1 that would prove that he committed the murder together with Muhammad, however, a review of the evidence presented to the court, some of which was presented above, shows that there is circumstantial evidence and direct evidence against Defendant 1 that is beyond a reasonable doubt that Defendant 1 committed the murder together with Muhammad, when he drove Muhammad in a Mazda vehicle for the purpose of committing the murder of the deceased, all as will be detailed below:
