This version seems imaginary and even delusional to me, based on a direct impression of the two, who do not appear to be capable, or even pretend to manage financial transactions around the world. I equally reject the version that the two hired the services of defendant 1, who "provided them with a variety of services, including collection and concentration services and the calculation of the company's accounts."
In addition, I categorically reject the claim that defendant 1 assisted two: "in transferring documents and collecting documents from the company's bookkeeper, Pini Basson", but this is in the category of "mere couriers", or "courier standards", who came to the accountant's office in order to collect invoices that require collection.
My impression of this version of defendant 1 is no different from my overall impression of the unreliable statements of this defendant, who gave testimony that is not trustworthy and does not fit with the evidence in the file, without bothering to substantiate his words with documents or other reliable evidence.
In light of the aforesaid, I hereby determine that Swela Trading Ltd. was a company controlled and managed by defendant 1, after it was purchased from Kobi Zoaretz and Avi Ben Nissan for NIS 50,000. This company was operated by defendant 1 as part of his criminal activity, in various affairs described in the indictment.
Similar things should be said with regard to Danidov Ltd., which was registered by Kobi Zoaretz and Avi Ben Nissan in the name of Avraham Staggovsky, and was also sold together with Svila Trading Ltd., to defendant 1. As may be recalled, Avraham Staggovsky himself testified at the trial, who stated that he had agreed to register the company in his name at the request of Kobi Zoaretz and Avi Ben Nissan, and beyond that he had nothing to do with the company and the manner in which it was managed.
With regard to this company as well, I place confidence in the testimony of Kobi Zoaretz and Avi Ben Nissan, and categorically reject the version of defendant 1.
