Cross-examination
- Marciano first testified that Zeidpodim, who lives abroad, was not interrogated, because he was abroad at the relevant time and they were unable to contact him. It is possible that later another interrogator came and took a confession from him (p. 394). The head of the investigation team was Superintendent Yehuda Aharoni (p. 397). The witness did not conduct all the interrogations (p. 397).
He performed the suitability test only with regard to Abu Kabir's roof (p. 395).
The witness confirmed that there were approving parties above the defendant: after the construction officer's signature, the project is transferred to another signature of the direct commander and then to the accountant. Those elements were not interrogated under caution (pp. 398, 401).
Re-investigation
- The witness confirmed that the testimony of Zeidpodim was taken by the head of the Special Operations Unit (p. 406).

- The following is the testimony of Sgt. Oppenheim, head of the Construction Branch of the IPS during the relevant period, regarding Charge 4.
P/115 - A handwritten record of the witness dated January 2, 2019, when the witness drove to the detention center in Abu Kabir and made a simple measurement of the roof of the visitation building as well as the roof of the entrance building. Measurement of the roof area, including measurement of the roller (panel). Visitation roof area - 31.2 sqm, rollers 30.8 m2; Entrance complex roof area - 18 sqm, rollers 21 m2.
P/116 - The witness's marks on a Gomaitum document (the original document is a "budget estimate" dated January 25, 2018 for the "Civil Case Detention Center - Sealing the Roof of Visitors", in which the project items and their prices are detailed, with according to the original document amounting to NIS 31,022 before VAT (NIS 36, NIS 295.74 including VAT). The witness explained that he had entered the measure he had measured in the area at P/115 (visitors' roof area 31.2 square meters, rollers 30.8 square meters) instead of the measure that appears in the budget estimate (roof area 142 square meters, rollers 48 square meters), and the new estimate amounted to about NIS 12,800 instead of about NIS 31,000 (not including VAT) (p. 662). Afterwards, the investigator Arik Marciano also asked him about the entrance building, and when they added the area of the entrance building, this led to an additional NIS 8,000, and they had not yet reached the budget estimate submitted by Gomaitom, NIS 36,000 including VAT (p. 663).
