The witness reaffirmed, because the airbag computer of the vehicle involved in the Kia is located between the seats of the vehicles and has a covering.  According to him, the computer can also be damaged by liquid spilled on it.
He testified again, because the way the computer dismantled the airbag in the vehicle involved by the examiner was incorrect.  The tester did not come with the appropriate equipment for the discharge of the computer unit.
When confronted with this, that he confirmed that the airbag computer was closed and could not be opened, and therefore his claim that the airbag computer of the vehicle involved was damaged as a result of the weather hazards is completely unfounded, testified:
"A.  Demonstrating again.  Not only for the Hyundai airbag computer, but also for BMW.  There is no sealant, there are special screws, the court presents that there is no sealant, nothing that holds it, every liquid that enters penetrates inside.  When I said it was closed, I meant in terms of the screws, but not by the possibility that a substance would enter it.  I remember that the accuser objected that I should disassemble it." (See his testimony of May 14,2026, p.  153, paras.  10-13).
The witness was asked about this, because there is data obtained from EDR that shows that several events are saved
And he testified:
"It varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.  Kia and Hyundai are the same unit.  The Kia Rio 2013 presents, it's from the material of the police syllabus, in fact there are two events in the Kia Picanto there will always be two events and since it is possible that in the future one or another expert will appear before the court and from 2026 there will be 3 events in Kia and Hyundai.  2 events will be saved even without opening the airbag and the ACM chip of the airbag if it detects some extreme event defined by the manufacturer, this information will be saved as an event even if the airbags have not been opened.  On the other hand, there are other vehicles that have 70,80, even 100 events, in Audi and BMW vehicles there will be 6 events that will be saved, in Toyota it is different.  If the airbags were opened, the incident will be saved in the other vehicles, unlike Kia and Hyundai, it will be saved and not shredded.  On the other hand, if the key remains inside the switch and Kia and Hyundai is activated and I moved the car, he will think that it is another incident and a previous event that resulted from the incident will be erased." (See his testimony of May 14,2026, p.  153, paras.  19-28).
