Shortly before the end of the interrogation of Defendant 2, before 20:00, Defendant 1 was questioned by Investigator Shai Lazmi (Exhibit 3; when the time is studied/37 and died/10B).  Defendant 1 initially denied that he had received drugs from the deceased, and claimed that he intended to tell the deceased that he had not found a buyer for the drug, and that he would try to arrange money for him; He later claimed that he was supposed to receive a drug from the deceased on Monday night for NIS 3,000, and he and defendant 2 were supposed to find buyers for him.  After he was presented with the version of defendant 2 that he had received the drug from the deceased, and after he initially denied it, defendant 1 confirmed that the deceased had brought the drugs to his home on Monday afternoon, and that they were supposed to meet at night after they tried to get him buyers and money for the drugs; He explained where he had hidden the drugs near his house, and agreed to lead the police to the scene.

At approximately 8:00 P.M.,  defendant 1 went out with detectives Dor Buskila and Adi Hamami to the area of his home, where the drugs that he said he had received from the deceased were seized (P/37, P/37A, P/51, P/22).

Investigator Benita noted that at the end of the interrogation of Defendant 2 (as a result of Dec. 10A, the interrogation ended at 8:12 P.M.), he noticed scratches on Defendant 2's body and got the impression that he was nervous, and also told Defendant 2 that in his opinion he did not tell the whole truth during the interrogation; He set out to update the commander  of the Central Police Unit and the retrial  officer (Superintendent Michaeli) on the details of the investigation, while leaving Defendant 2 with Investigator Malichi.  At a certain point, Investigator Malichi arrived at the office where he updated the officers, and said that Defendant 2 wanted to talk to the commander of the Intelligence Unit, and that the Commander of the Investigation Unit went to question him together with Investigator Malichi (P/32).  Investigator Malichi noted in this context that Investigator Benita told him that Defendant 2 was not telling the truth and asked him to watch over him.  While they were left alone, Defendant 2 turned to him and asked what would happen to him, and Investigator Malichi replied that "a man with a sword around his neck is telling the truth.  And you, you have a guillotine over your head and you're not telling the truth"; Defendant 2 asked whether he would protect himself and his family if he told the truth, and to the interrogator's question about what truth it was, he said something like, "I am a witness to the murder," and therefore he went out to call the commander of the Central Intelligence Unit (pp. 93-94).
