Injuries to the Defendants' Body
On 28 February 2018, immediately upon Defendant 1's arrival at the station to testify, Officer Hai Ozer noticed signs of scratches and injuries, mainly on his right hand, and Defendant 1 claimed that this happened as a result of playing with his dog (P/30). Later, after he confessed, he told interrogator Shai Lazmi that some of the injuries were caused by the assault on the deceased and pointed to several scratches on the inside of his hands and an injury to his right pinky, and the bruises were documented (P/20, P/7A, pp. 1-2); Afterwards, he again presented bruises on his right hand and forefinger, and also noted that he had pain in the area of the pillow of his right hand under the pinky, and that his leg hurt (P/7 S. 80-82, P/7C at 21:39).
On 28 February 2018, at the end of Defendant 2's first interrogation, interrogator Ofer Benita noticed injuries and scratches on his hands, mainly on the back of his hands, and another scratch on the back of his neck. After Defendant 2 connected himself to the incident during interrogation with Investigator Malichi and the commander of the Intelligence Unit, Investigator Benita documented the injuries – quite a few bruises on the back of the hands, mainly on the wrists, and a scratch on the back of the neck; As to his question as to whether he had any further injuries, defendant 2 pointed to another injury to his right foot, took off his shoe and lifted his pants, and his leg showed swelling and a sign of a dry blow on the inside of his foot (P/32). In the interrogation after the interrogation, as to the question of whether he was injured during the incident, defendant 1 pointed to the bruises – about six scratches on his left hand, a scratch on the neck of the neck 5 cm long that he does not know what caused it, and swelling on the side of his right foot, according to him, from the kick he gave to the deceased (P/12A, pp. 24-25).
