As can be seen, the defendant's father did not confirm the defendant's version regarding the critical meeting with Samer on Thursday evening, a meeting in which the 685 subscription was allegedly transferred to Samer's hands.  Even with regard to the trip to hummus on Friday morning, Shaker did not provide support for the defendant's updated version, and he even positively rejected the claim that he was familiar with the passwords to enter the phones.  In fact, the only fact in Shaker's testimony that could have helped the defendant relates to the claim that he was seen in the compound at some point on Friday morning, before Shaker went out to pray.  However, this figure has no weight for the defendant's defense, for two reasons.  First, unfortunately, it is not possible to give any credence to Shakir's words in this context, in view of the deep personal and family connection between the two, and his clear desire to assist the defendant, and I will mention that this is suppressed testimony, which was first given more than two years after the events.  As mentioned, Shaker was summoned for questioning by the police in real time and refused to appear.  It is reasonable to assume that if he had possessed incriminating information in relation to his son, such as the alibi claim, he would have hastened to hand it over to the police and prevent the defendant's prolonged detention.  Second, even if there was room to give credence to Shaker's statement that at some point he noticed the defendant and Udai in the compound, there is no reason to believe that, since, as detailed above in the relevant chapters, the Mitsubishi returned from Holon and reached the area of the family compound at about 8:25 a.m., and left there again in the direction of Holon at 10:59 a.m.  Therefore, if Shakar did indeed see the defendant in the compound for about an hour and a half, this does not in any way prejudice the evidence linking the defendant to Mitsubishi, through a subscription number 685, that day.
