"Adv. Ben-Natan: Okay. I mean, on the same day you go to the south, you call it Beersheba. Did you know something he was going to hurt?
The witness, Mr. M. Asswi: No, if I had known I would go? With my jeep, with my slippers, with my locator, with everything?" (ibid., pp. 364, 9-12) - (my emphasis – A.H.).
Defendant 2 went on to detail that he had lied to the police in his statement that he had gone to the Dead Sea that day, and explained that he had lied because it was the first time he had been interrogated by the police. Defendant 2 went on to describe the fears of Muhammad's family that led him not to tell about Muhammad's actions:
"Adv. Ben-Natan: Why didn't you tell the truth?
The witness, Mr. M. Asswi: Because I was afraid of what, I was under pressure, the first time I went into an interrogation like this.
Adv. Ben-Natan: But you, Munir, but you are innocent.
The witness, Mr. M. Asswi: I, because I'm innocent, came to tell the truth today.
Adv. Ben-Natan: Yes. Why didn't you say what you're saying today?
The witness, Mr. M. Asswi: No, I have a poor brother, a doctor, he has children. I'll say something out of place, they will dismantle it. Go know who, his mother's side, his father's side, doesn't matter.
Adv. Ben-Natan: Who were you afraid of?
The witness, Mr. M. Asswi: I was scared. from their family,
Adv. Ben-Natan: Whose own?
The witness, Mr. M. Asswi: His mother's uncle is a big criminal, his mother's brother.
Adv. Ben-Natan: Whose own?
The witness, Mr. M. 'Asswi: Muhammad's brother.
Adv. Ben-Natan: No. Oh, Muhammad's. Okay.
The witness, Mr. M. Asswi: Abu Hajaj, Issam.

Adv. Zion: I say again, I, what, wait, is important to me.
