At the same time, a background check of the deceased was conducted as well as a scan of his apartment, in which no unusual findings were found; A testimony was taken from N., from which it emerged that he had no disputes or anything unusual that might explain his absence; A conversation was held with the owner of the apartment in which the deceased lived and with a close friend of his; A request was made to check security cameras at the place where the deceased worked on the night of the murder and at gas stations in the area; Orders were issued to receive documents and media studies, including an order to penetrate the deceased's phone; The mobile laboratory began collecting findings at the scene,  in which a sock with blood marks was found, among other things, at a distance of about 20 meters from the vehicle (P/31, P/96).

Following N.'  s statement that the night before the deceased had told her that he might meet an acquaintance of theirs named Assaf, who was a "great guy",  an attempt was made to locate defendant  1 as early as the night of 27 February 2018, without success (P/31).  On February 28, 2018, at approximately 11:00 A.M., N. was asked to point to an assistant living officer at the home of defendant 1, and during the drive she pointed to defendant 1 who was walking in the street, and he was asked to accompany them to testify before the police (P/30).

At the same time, on the morning  of 28 February 2018, Robert Azrayev, an Intelligence and Detective Officer at the Sderot station,  went to scan security cameras in the industrial zone in Sderot.  Watching the cameras  at the  Paz gas station on 27 February 2018  at  4:17 A.M., he saw a young man who entered the place on foot, talking to the salesman and then leaving the store, and he looked like defendant  1, and therefore he took the screenshot and passed the photograph to the investigator Asher Hasson (P/69).  On the same day, the investigative unit began collecting material from security cameras throughout the city of Sderot, in the hall where the deceased worked, at a gas station where he stopped on the way, on his route and in the vicinity of his home.  In this context, the investigator Gil Tal was asked by    the NationalInsurance Institute to come to the  Paz gas station in Sderot to download the security camera footage, and he downloaded the footage of the Paz gas station at 14:28 (P/63, P/56A, P/56B).
