As for his phones, the defendant testified that the 401 subscriber was his main subscriber, which he had been using since 2009. The 337 subscription is also always with him, and he uses it as an additional and alternative phone. As for subscriber 685, in July 2022, the police searched the family compound and seized the defendant's phones. As a result, the defendant needed a replacement phone, and one of the family members gave him the SIM with a 685 subscription, which the defendant installed on his Samsung A32 device, which he used until he received a new 401 SIM card, and as a result, all three subscribers remained with us - 401, 337 and 685, but according to the defendant, on the day of the murder itself, he did not have this subscription.
And here we come to the core of the defendant's new and suppressed version of the events of the day of the murder, and the fate of the 685 subscription, which I placed, as mentioned, in Mitsubishi, that is, at the core of the events surrounding the murder. In his testimony in court, as part of the main interrogation, the defendant first raised the claim that the 685 subscription was indeed used by him at the time, but was given to another person on the day of the murder. He claimed that the day before the murder, his cousin Samer Musrati, who had been murdered about a month before giving his testimony, came to him and asked him for a phone. The defendant replied that he was welcome to take any device he wanted, except for the iPhone with a 401 subscription, and Samer chose the A32 with a 685 subscription, took it and drove away, while the defendant stayed at home with his father, Udai and other family members. Samer later met Samer only on Sunday, 28 August 2022, in Haifa, and then received back the phone he had given him. Only after he was arrested on Monday, 29 August 2022, did he learn from a conversation with his lawyers, after reviewing the interrogation materials, that Samer had changed the SIM card from 685 to 761. He did not tell the police about Samer because if he had spoken about him, his life would have been in danger, and the family would not have spoken to him.
