During his interrogation on 19 July 2024 (P/17), the defendant reiterated that he was greatly affected by the situation in Gaza following the "Iron Sword" war, and as a result: "the rate at which he consumed the content of the Islamic State" (section 12) increased, although he did not want to and did not plan to harm anyone, and in fact he made a big mistake (section 33).
In this interrogation, the defendant was confronted with his statement wishing death for an IDF soldier (P/21A, p. 8, section 9). At first he was silent, and when he replied he claimed that he did not know why he had said it, and in any case he had no intention of harming the soldiers. Later, he said that in his conversations with others, Tamer or Ahmad (ibid., paras. 37-38) made these remarks against the backdrop of videos from Gaza in which soldiers step on the Koran and curse the Koran, which angered him greatly (paras. 44-45). Later on, and on the same matter, he changed his words and claimed that he did not remember wishing for the death of IDF soldiers, although he added that if he said this, it was because he was in a storm of emotions because of the videos documenting the events from Gaza.
The defendant told of his friend Ahmad Qassem (Ahmad Qassem confessed in his interrogation to the ISA (P/4), which was submitted with agreement that he was a supporter and connected to ISIS) with whom he had conversations about ISIS.
With regard to the content dealing with explosives and explosives found on his mobile phone, the investigation memorandum (Exhibit 17, section 55) states:
The defendant admits that as part of his browsing of various Dar'ar websites, he downloaded many files related to weapons; The subject states that he downloaded files in various fields: preparation of explosives; methods of guerrilla warfare; preparation of toxins; The subject claims that he did not read or study most of the material, there were a few pages that he read; According to the defendant, he did not take any actual steps to prepare explosives or explosives; The defendant claims that he did not collect raw materials, did not prepare materials, and did not plan to manufacture explosives or explosives or weapons.
