The findings of the defendant's interrogation also show that alongside the systematic consumption of Al-Naba, the defendant meticulously consumed "responsible taking" of significant attacks carried out by the MDAS, which constitute a "motivational boost" to the organization's supporters in the various arenas (in terms of daring and willingness to act);

The defendant made sure to consume content that dealt with "exemplary figures" in the Midasian heritage, with an emphasis on prominent military and religious leaders.  Prominent was the download of a video that included a sermon by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the first caliph and the most senior "symbol of ISIS."

The defendant sent his friends, interlocutors from ISIS, videos of Abu Mus'ab al-Zarqawi (the founder of the Al-Qaeda in Iraq branch in 2004, which over the years developed into a Madas organization) and of Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, the first spokesman of Da'ar'ar Shona, who was responsible for publicizing all the precedential and symbolic events with the establishment of the Caliphate.  At the same time, content searches were found in 2018 for senior figures in the organization from previous years.

The defendant downloaded files depicting "Anchors of Faith from the Foundation" (flags of the Madas symbol, songs/anthems ("Nasheeds") that express the "fighting spirit" of ISIS); screenshots from propaganda publications encouraging fighting against the organization's various enemies (for example, a publication emphasizing that "the Islamic State is fighting cancerous metastases by killing, cutting off necks, and bloodsheds of the unclean").

The defendant's relationship with the actors/supporters of the appeal is different and the characteristics of the discourse with them

In this chapter, based on the extensive evidentiary foundation, we find an in-depth description of the defendant's connections with members and supporters of a distinct different appeal in Israel and abroad, with whom there is a discourse with a distinct "hue" of ISIS, both in content and in the language and slang of ISIS.  The ISA expert is of the opinion that in view of the scope and nature of the conversations, it can be said with high probability that these conversations constituted "mutual conceptual fertilization" that increased the defendant's sense of belonging to the "madas community."  Between the conversations, he noted:

  1. Joint viewing of the defendant with his friend Tamar Isma'il (has been in Germany for several years) in the Madras videos (between the years 2014-2016), and a discussion they held between them about the content that came up in these videos and the mutual sending of Madras content between them.

The opinion emphasizes that this period was the "golden age" of the organization, which established many territorial strongholds in the territory of Syria and Iraq, and in this framework it carried out mass murders against various adversaries, imposed "Sharia law" on the civilian population by brutal means, and made sure to document all the acts in propaganda videos that he distributed to his supporters, in a way that radicalized their ideological doctrine.
