"Yes, you understand? He got lost with the Nice Lost The person touching Nice is ... He's going crazy, Zelma..... He has a son and a daughter, he is married to my cousin, you understand (Defendant 1 is indeed married to Muhammad's cousin – see p. 21 for the summaries of Defendant 1's counsel.................. Before he entered Nice he married my cousin and after that he entered Nice.......... I said to him, 'Hey, wait a minute, he and I sat down and became friends......... He smokes nice and slowly I got into him, you understand? I told him to listen, let's smoke you and me........ We moved on to hashish...  I moved on to hashish...... A smoker smokes hashish, you said to him...  Listen to hashish... Let's move on to green, you see........ We started smoking a vegetable, you understand? We started smoking green... The main thing is to stay away from the Nice......... Everything is easier than that disaster..... Q People who have been admitted to a mental hospital........ And by God, thank God, he moved away from the Nice, as he smelled the smell of the Nice, he ran away... Every day he smokes green" (T 16a, p. 29, 25, p. 31, 39).

The above description testifies to a strong connection between Defendant 1 and Muhammad, and it certainly contains details of facts that would raise a sense of obligation on the part of Defendant 1 towards Muhammad, and this commitment can certainly be considered as a motive for Defendant 1 to participate together with Muhammad in the murder of the deceased.

Muhammad trusts Defendant 1 not to inform,  later in his remarks, Muhammad told the informant, "But I knew that they had brought another one, they had brought one of those with me, ...  The one with me I don't know what he said...  I gave him the first interrogation and the second interrogation, the third fourth, ...  I gave him a hint today, and voila, I gave him a hint...  I told him not to say a word" (P/16A, p. 47, paras. 27-33).

When the informant says to Muhammad in relation to Defendant 1, "God willing, he will remain silent, it is better to sit down, silent and not speak at all even if he is detained for fifteen or twenty days," Muhammad replied, "Yes, exactly," and added, "I trust him to remain silent, because he explains to me that he did not open it" (P/16A, p. 48, paras. 2-10)
