Another very important detail is that Muhammad was able to say that Defendant 2 covered the aforementioned distance in 40 minutes, even though he could have done it in 15 minutes, i.e., he drove at a much lower speed (as far as he was concerned) than he could have traveled in his BMW X6.  Muhammad was sitting in the chair next to defendant 2 who was driving the car, and he probably saw the speedometer, and he also saw in practice how fast the defendant was traveling, and although he did not mention in his words to the informant the speed at which defendant 2 drove, it can be concluded from his statements that defendant 2 was driving at a much lower speed than he could have traveled.

The above can point to a real gap between Muhammad and Defendant 2, in understanding the need and urgency for a quick escape from the murder area to Lod, and it can certainly strengthen the claim of Defendant 2 that he drove relatively slowly because he was not at all aware that they were actually fleeing from the area where the murder was committed.

It should be emphasized that, as detailed above, Muhammad and Defendant 1 had prepared a plan for seeing an "alibi" in advance, and therefore they had to arrive quickly at the Yoseftal gas station in Lod to prove the "alibi" claim, and this fact would explain Muhammad's anger and reinforce the conclusion presented above.

It should also be argued that in the case at hand the fast travel was critical for Mohammed, who had to reach Lod in order to prove the claim of the "alibi" he had made, as stated above, and this fact would give extra weight to the fact that defendant 2 drove relatively slowly along the same section of road.

"Let him take the place of the other"

As noted above, Defendant 2 claimed that the purpose of his actions detailed in the indictment was to bring drugs together with Muhammad (the "drug version") after his brother, who was Muhammad's partner in the drug business, was murdered, and Muhammad sought to bring him into those businesses under his deceased brother.
