The European-American Lawyers Group, known as EALG, has since 1985 merged law firms from the United States, Europe and Hong Kong, and is one of the oldest international law firms in the world. Its members meet twice a year and jointly provide service to international clients. At the last meeting of the organization, which took place at the end of October in Istanbul, the organization chose Afik Turgeman as a full member of the organization and joined Israel as the 26th country with representatives in the organization.

After receiving two new members of the organization at the last meeting in Istanbul, the Euro-American Lawyers Group is now active in 26 countries with over 30 law firms including Austria, Ireland, Italy, England, the United States, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Greece , Israel, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Finland, Spain, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.

The office of Afik Turgeman is the result of a merger between the offices of Adv. Shlomi Turgeman and Adv. Doron Afik since 2007, and has since become one of Israel's most growing offices. Among the firm's clients are Union Bank, Lubinski Group, Combe Group, Emblaze, Kriosel, Middle East Pipelines and other large companies in the economy. The firm made headlines, among other things, when it represented Eli Reifman and while he was handling a derivative claim against the Leviev Group in the amount of NIS 2.5 billion.

The firm combines academics and practice, and the two senior partners in the firm also serve as lecturers in universities in the main areas of expertise of the firm. Adv. Doron Afik has been a lecturer for several years in the field of mergers and acquisitions and in the field of special companies (government companies and municipal companies) and Adv. Shlomi Turgeman, a lecturer in securities, antitrust and a special course on disputes between shareholders. .

This announcement by EALG is in addition to the winning of Afik Turgeman in July of this year in the prestigious award of the full service magazine of the British Finance Monthly 2011 (together with Herzog Fox & Neeman, which won the Firm of the Year award).

Doron Afik, Partner at Afik Turgeman, said: "We were very pleased to receive the announcement of our choice as members of the organization, a choice that will enable us to provide full and personal service to our customers in 25 other countries around the world.
