A person in Israel managed a website called DeepDotWeb (DDW) for the purpose of running an illegal cryptocurrency trading platform and enabled, for a commission, direct access to illegal Darknet trading platforms, including access to dangerous drugs, weapons, and more. He was indicted in the United States of America, which requested that the State of Israel extradite him.

The Court held that the person should be extradited. For the purpose of extradition for a criminal offense, it is required, inter alia, that the offense be considered an offense in the State of Israel, even if only part of it was committed in Israel. Here, all the conditions for extradition are met, and even though the offense was committed via a website, because the United States contended that it was also committed in the States, it is sufficient to determine that the conditions for the extradition requirement are met.
